Gaz Davies ex-Northwich club captain, is involved with Vorarlberg rugby club in Austria (HERE), they are asking the rugby community to help them secure a pitch and playing equipment. Vorarlberg established in 2014 need funds to buy rugby posts, post protectors, corner flags & essential training equipment we all take for granted ie balls & cones. You can donate individually on their crowdfunding page for as little as 10 Euro upwards all contributors will receive a thank you gift from Vorarlberg rugby.

Gaz said “Since moving to work in Austria, I’ve been playing a bit of rugby with a newly formed club. but they barely have a full squad, no clubhouse and no pitch to train on. They've recently found a football club that will let them use their facilities but for a price. So they have started an online crowdfunding campaign to help raise the cash. We've had a good start and got Exeter Chiefs involved (click HERE ). One of our organisers grew up in the same village as Chris and Mike Bradshaw, Vorarlberg rugby club and their members all supported me in my integration and relocation to Austria and throughout my recent knee injury & rehabilitation.”

Gaz continues “I came through Northwich rugby with a group of players now all in there thirties, it’s these guy’s some now coming to an end of their playing careers, who by volunteering can increase the longevity of our club or the birth of something new.”
