Members and supporters will be pleased to know that the magnificent 18 man 1st XV squad pulled off a famous victory with an eightieth minute winning penalty to beat Altrincham K. at the death. We are expecting yet another sunny, Spring-like day this Saturday for the visit of league leaders Vale of Lune, a famous team in rugby circles, and the main City team of Lancaster.

As has become the norm we have arranged for a pre match bite, courtesy of Mark Preece. Regular attendees will be pleased to learn that this weeks pre match offerings are to be sponsored by Eric Mashiter who grew up in the shadow of Lancaster's dreamy spires. Thank you very much Eric.

We therefore extend a warm welcome -both to our own supporters as well as to our guests from The Vale.

No charge for lunch but your purchase of a match programme and vocal support from the touchline will be much appreciated by the lads. We need the win.

12.45 for 1pm is fine and please bring along a pound for the raffle.

Programme

-From 1pm onwards there will be food for our guests and supporters from both sides. We look forward to seeing you all.

-After the match there will be 3 players from each side chosen by opposing skippers for men of the match.

-The Lancastrian Allies will be invited to take Port with the Northwich Coffin Dodgers.

-The Scotland/England match starts on the clubhouse TV at 16-45.

Northwich Rugby's own Chris and Shirley Burmah (Landlords of the renowned Auckland nightspot The Blue Barrel) are among the guests who will be spending the evening in the clubhouse partying the night away, win or lose.
