Northwich Players get Cheshire recognition

Last Wednesday 15th November, Kyle Lindsay, Tom King & Sam Naylor represented Cheshire Harvesters in a fixture played at Sedgley Park against Lancashire Royals, another Northwich player James Underhill was selected but unable to play due to injury. Cheshire winning 42-8.

Cheshire ‘Harvesters’ are a team that Cheshire RFU has started to reflect the quality of players that play rugby every Saturday for their clubs that are at level 5 and below to reward them with County honours as Harvesters.
The squad is managed by former Northwich player/coach and ex-Cheshire player Chris Brierley.

There will be at least one further match this season and Yorkshire RFU are looking favourably into starting a team of their own. This could very easily lead to more County fixtures in the coming seasons.
