"The Team of the Town"

VOLUNTEERS have been thanked for giving up their time to improve an overgrown, litter-strewn grotspot.

Kirk Naylor said "NRUFC have now completed 3 Give and Gain days, as a local sports organisation we believe in giving something back to the community who have supported us for many years, by volunteering our manpower", he continued “Our community is at the heart of our Rugby Club, so we’re delighted to be involved in this project and to be helping to make a visible and worthwhile contribution to these neglected areas.”

The Give and Gain initiative saw Northwich Town Council team up on Friday with Northwich Rugby Club volunteers to clean up a path along the River Dane from Heber Walk to Water Street.

An eight-strong team from the club joined forces with town councillors and council employees to tackle the eyesore.
