Very little is known about him (or her?), but based on the number of complaints we routinely receive about him, he is obviously either useless or bone idle – or perhaps both?

The kind of complaints we receive about Somebody typically include:
“Somebody needs to put the banners out.”
“Somebody needs to collect the subs.”
“Somebody WILL sort i,t just leave it there”
“Somebody needs to work the scoreboard.”
“Somebody should bring the banners in.”
“Somebody should do this.”
“Somebody should do that.”
“Somebody should do the other.”
You get the picture……?
We’ve tried to sort this out with Somebody, but there’s a problem – and of course you’re miles ahead of me by now – unfortunately Somebody doesn’t actually exist....

It’s a fact that virtually every task that needs to be completed at Northwich RUFC is undertaken by real people with real names who invariably have a 9 to 5 job elsewhere during the day – in other words, they are volunteers.
Now we are no different to any other club or organisation in this regard, nor are we any different in that we simply don’t have as many volunteers as we’d like or indeed need.
So the moral of the story is simply this – next time you see something that you think needs to be done, give Somebody a break and ask yourself could you spend just a little of your time to help him out? Believe me, he could do with the support and I know he’d be extremely grateful.
