Like a phoenix from the flames Northwich “Gargoyles” Veterans have arisen. Rejuvenated over an English summer, they now prepare for the challenge of 2017, the 1st game v Knutsford only 3 weeks away Friday 6th October at Moss Farm, KO 7.30pm under lights.

It’s that time of year to search the kit bag from the shed, the smell of mould & damp as you unzip it to find soggy boots still wrapped in an old ripped Tesco plastic bag, those lucky underpants still unwashed. The anticipation builds for the first twitch of a muscle as Fiery Jack is applied, the flare of a nostril as a waft of wintergreen embrocation floats in the air, the feeling of pride as you squeeze into the Black & Gold, that now fits like a second skin.

Return to the club house to reminisce old victories & remembrance of past teammates whilst enjoying a beer or two at the inaugural Northwich Beer & Gin Festival.
