Ash and Jason crowned Pairs Champions
Ashley Goldsmith and Jason Gane beat Paul Gasper and Ben Baker 3-1 to win the 2012 Pool Blind Pairs Tournament.
The pool blind pairs tournament took place this Saturday with 10 people entering. The draw was completed for the pairs and was as follows:
A - Anthony Bryan & Ryan Brenchley
B - Paul Gasper & Ben Baker
C - Ollie Cousins & Guster Ryms
D - Tom Brenchley & Jamie Brenchley
E - Ashley Goldsmith & Jason Gane
The format was a round robin group stage followed by a 3rd/4th place play-off and a final between the top two. After the group stage, Jamie & Tom Brenchley were in 4th and Anthony Bryan & Ryan Brenchley finished 5th, with the other three pairs all tied on 5 points. A game of killer was played with one player from each of the three pairs taking part. Guster Ryms was the first to lose his two lives, meaning Paul Gasper & Ben Baker took on Ashley Goldsmith & Jason Gane in the final. Ash and Jason won the first two legs, but Paul & Ben hit back with the third. A three ball clearance from Jason Gane then gave him and Ash the win, crowning them as champions. Thank you to everyone who played and supported for turning up.
