Eagle and Bollywood win Darts Blind Pairs

Mark Tuckwell and Ollie Cousins beat Ashley and Jon Goldsmith 3-2 in the final to win the 2012 Darts Blind Pairs tournament.

Eight players took part in the 3rd annual Darts Blind Pairs tournament this Saturday. A round robin format was decided with the top two teams going through to the final. The pairs were A - Ashley & Jon Goldsmith, B - Mark Tuckwell & Ollie Cousins, C - Jason Gane & Ben Baker and D - Josh Rudd & Matt McCallum. Ashley and Jon went through as group winners, winning all 3 games and Mark and Ollie came through in second place, with 2 wins. The highlights of the group stage were a 160 from Ollie Cousins and a 96 checkout from Ben Baker. The results were as follows:

Ash & Jon 2-0 Mark & Ollie
Jason & Ben 2-0 Josh & Matt
Mark & Ollie 2-0 Jason & Ben
Josh & Matt 1-2 Ash & Jon
Mark & Ollie 2-1 Josh & Matt
Jason & Ben 1-2 Ash & Jon

In the final, Ash & Jon went 1-0 up, but Mark & Ollie then took the lead by winning consecutive legs. However, Ash & Jon then won the 4th leg to take it to a decider. In a tense atmosphere, Mark finally hit the deciding double to give Mark and Ollie the win. Thanks to everybody who turned up to support the club.
