The Wood finally saw some cricket this evening as the Under 13 side took to the field against the Isle of Wight Under 15 Girls. Vice-Captain, Jake Cass, won the toss and elected to field first. James Whitewood was able to take a wicket in the first over before the rain started to fall, leaving the umpires undecided as to whether play could continue. However, play carried on and there were wickets for Jake Cass and Sam Metcalf as well as three run outs. The girls finished on 99-6 from their 20 overs (aided by 57 wides), but there was no more play as the rain became too heavy.
