Norton Reserves returned to the top of the table with their second league double of the season, this time defeating Kirkley U23's 5-0 at Walmer Road.
Norton looked comfortable from the first whistle with the back 4 controlling the tempo of the game aided by Chris in goal whose talking was very good.
The opening goal arrived on 20 minutes by Alex Cornel after Alex G beat the full back and put it on a plate.
The same combination linked up again as Norton made it 2-0 after 26 minutes.
On 31 minutes and it was 3-0 as Sean H beat two players in the box and rolls the ball for Alex G to score his first Norton goal.
Alex G was at it again just before half time making it 4-0 showing great awareness to tap home the loose ball after Ormes shot came back of the cross bar.
HT 0-4
With the points seemingly secured in that devasting first half the second half became more about game management however there was one further goal and a third for Alex Cornel who converted Ormes cross on 75 minutes.
Everyone put in a shift and the tone was set by Mario P with endless tackles at the back and starting many attacks and this secured the ASAMS MoM Award.
This week there is no game for the Reserves.
