“When the chairman told me he might be available I thought it was a practical joke.”
Norwich United have completed a transfer masterstroke for the final month of the season by
securing the loan signing of prolific Planter’s legend Matt Blake.
Blake who left Norwich for Leiston 2 seasons ago returns on a month’s loan to the club where he scored 112 goals in 148 games during a record breaking spell.
Blake who will go straight into the squad for tonight’s visit of Hertord at Plantation Park 7:45pm kick-off, became available after the arrival of former Lowestoft striker Jake Reed at Victory Road.
Planter’s manager Steve Eastaugh ‘When the chairman told me he might be available I thought it was a practical joke. We are getting a player we know really well, is prolific at scoring goals in the league above and is match fit as he’s been playing all season. His presence alone will be a huge boost to our group, going into a season defining month for the football club’.
