After discussions with the club Planters midfielder Lee Mason has decided that the rigours and commitment of 1st team Isthmian League football will be too much for him and his young family, instead joining newly relocated side Spixworth.

Lee has been a key member of both Eastern Counties championship winning teams and last years 9th placed finish and whilst he is coming towards the end of an outstanding local career, the club was hoping he could again play a role next season.

Manager Steve Eastaugh said ‘After speaking with Lee this is absolutely the right decision for him and his family. It would be selfish and show a lack of respect from us to argue otherwise, he has put his body on the line for this football club and deserves to spend more time with his wife and children. We thank him for his immense contribution and we will stay in touch with a good friend’
