Norwich United are delighted to announce the signing of Shaun Wones from Anglian Combination Premier Division runners up Spixworth on a 2 year deal. Coveted by a number of clubs the commanding midfielder has put pen to paper after a successful season with Spixworth seeing him score 19 goals and a Sunday Senior cup final at Carrow Road with Riverside Rovers. Manager Steve Eastaugh added 'Shaun was the first player on my list when we looked at strengthening the group we have. He has the qualities we are looking for in a player but importantly as a person. We were very impressed when we had the opportunity to talk and we can see him playing a pivotal role in what we are looking to achieve'. When asked if others would be following Wones to Plantation Park, Eastaugh added 'We have identified 3 or 4 others that we hope to announce shortly. We are very happy with the group we have here, but the additions will add depth and experience to key positions to give us real chance of being competitive next season'.
