Commitments outside football lead to decision

I have been lucky enough to play in some very succesful teams throughout my career
- Jamie Speller

Vice-captain Jamie Speller has announced his retirement from football.

Speller took to social media yesterday to post

"It is with a very heavy heart that today I announce my immediate retirement from competitive football.
Due to work commitments outside of football and my continued hard work towards pursuing a new career, I am no longer able to commit my time to football.
I have been lucky enough to play in some very succesful teams throughout my career, winning numerous accolades and titles and for that I am very grateful.
I want to say thank you to everybody that has supported me along the way, none more so than my parents for giving up their time on countless occasions.
All good things must come to an end but for me this is just the start of something very exciting happening in my life and a journey I'm really looking forward to."

Whilst I'm sure everyone at Plantation Park will be sad to see Jamie leave, I'm also sure everyone will wish him all the very best wishes for the future.
