The introduction of substitute Thomas Mustapha gave life to a game that until had stalemate written all over it.

Within six minutes of his introduction he had put the Planters in front and continued to cause the Greens defence problems as the home side made it back to back wins.

The first half had little of note, Andy Key's 7th minute free kick comfortably saved by Elliot Pride and the 31st minute introduction of Jamie Godbold for his Greens debut for the injured Kyle Howell being the only moments of note with both sides defences coping comfortably with anything thrown at them.

Gorleston threatened briefly but Ally McKenna's header from Godbold's free kick flew well over the bar and Ben Nower's only moment of concern came in the 58th minute when Chris Sandford's cross was tipped over for a corner.

Mustpaha turned the game in the 62nd minute he pressured a defender in to a mistake giving Claydon room on the left, he duly found Mustapha who had run into the area where he fired home from close range.

Three minutes later Eddie Thompson made a superb tackle to deny Mustapha a second and from the resultant corner Martin McNeil headed wide from Lee Hunter's flag kick to the far post.

Claydon fed Mustapha whose shot from an acute angle found the side netting. Claydon then blocked Pride's clearance but as he closed in on goal the linesman inexplicably flagged for handball against the striker.

A minute later Claydon got his goal, Ross King's shot from distance came back off the bar, Kieran Doherty laid the ball into the path of Claydon who walked the ball into the goal to secure the three points for the Planters.

A much improved performance from the Planters who kept the Greens at bay and as the game progressed posed a potent threat on the Gorleston defence.
