In the Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division Bilborough Town moved up to second with 6-2 win at Attenborough. Connor Croft and Jake Kane goals for Bilborough were nullified by Daniel Clark and Jason Jude but then Croft added a further three and Kane completed a brace to seal the victory.

Cotgrave have now gone five games without a win after they went down 4-0 to AFC Dunkirk. Dunkirk’s first goal came after they were awarded a free kick in shooting range, George Harrison had got his mind set on only one thing and he duly converted. Luke Burrell doubled the advantage after the break before Harrison went on to complete his hat-trick.

Awsworth Villa came from one down at half-time to defeat Magdala Amateurs 2-1 thanks to Matt Goodwin and Ryan Whitehurst.

Stephen Bonel, Ethan Winfield and Sam Dilks handed Sandiacre Town their first win in six matches, 3-0 against Gedling Southbank.

In the NSL Senior Cup second round, Division One Ashland Rovers continued to upset the odds as they again ousted Premier Division opposition. Dan Bircumshaw’s second half strike was sufficient to see off Calverton Miners Welfare.

Beeston Rylands ran their Premier Division opponents close as it took extra-time and penalties for Kimberley Miners Welfare AFC to eventually triumph. It was 1-1 at 90 minutes with Lee Fowler netting for Beeston, Aaron Russell for Kimberley. Fowler’s second of the game looked to be the winner but Corey Cresswell struck in the 120th minute to take the tie to penalties. Lewis Buxton saved Beeston’s first three attempts, before their fourth hit the post, meaning Kimberley’s two on target efforts were sufficient to see them through.

Bingham Town were a little more comfortable as they dispatched Bilborough United 5-1. Mike Jepps and Tom Spencer got two apiece alongside a Grant Hutchison strike for Bingham, Joel Buxton with United’s consolation.

A first half Jack Wood effort was enough to see Basford United Community past Kirton Brickworks and a Michael Attard goal was all that separated his Newark Flowserve side and FC Cavaliers.

Wollaton left it late to edge past Southwell City 3-2. Dalton Stephens opened the scoring for City in the last 10 minutes of the first half. Ryan Krause bundled home the equaliser midway through the second half before Romello Nangle restored Southwell’s lead with a close range strike. Connor Naylor got Wollaton back on level terms again then Reece Campbell volleyed the winner in the 90th minute.

Underwood Villa knocked out Ruddington Village 4-2 and, in the only all-Division One tie, Stapleford Town went down 2-1 at home to Real Community.

Elsewhere in Division One, Keyworth United Reserves were the day’s biggest winners as they defeated AFC Bridgford 10-2. Keyworth are now up to second, behind Netherfield Albion, who were 4-1 winners over Awsworth Villa Reserves on Friday night.

Ruddington Village Reserves picked up their first league win since the opening day of the season, 2-0 at bottom club Southwell City Reserves, while Wollaton Reserves won 5-1 at Mansfield Hosiery Mills.

Selston Reserves were in Notts FA Intermediate Cup action where they narrowly lost out to Radford Reserves, 1-0.

In Division Two, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers’ 100% record is gone after they lost by the odd goal in seven to Southwell City Development. Second placed Newark Flowserve Reserves also lost, 2-1 to Keyworth United Development.

Bridgford United extended their winning run to three matches with a 6-0 defeat of Magdala Amateurs Reserves while Sneinton Town won for the first time in four attempts, 9-1 at Kirton Brickworks Reserves.

There were 3-0 away wins for Welbeck Lions Reserves and Burton Joyce, at Nottingham City and AFC Clifton respectively.

Bingham Town Reserves saw off Gedling Southbank Reserves 5-3 and Barrowby won 3-1 at home to Underwood Villa Reserves.
