Matthew's Trek across the Sahara Desert

Matthew Tucker, who's son is a Junior memeber of Nottingham Corsairs rugby club has signed up for an increadible challenge to trek across the Sahara.

As some of you will know Matthew tries to do something once a year to raise money for a worthwhile charity. This year he has agreed to an ‘epic’ challenge to walk across the Sahara Desert in February.

The charity that he is doing it for is called Beaumond House which is a local Hospice that looks after people and their families when they have terminal illnesses. He has first-hand experience of the charity as a close friend of his sadly passed away in his early forties and the hospice gave some well needed help to his young family and wife – so Matthew knows how important the work they do is.

The following website will give you more information about the trek and the charity - http://www.saharatrek.co.uk/

The enormity of what he has agreed to do is finally hitting home and he would be grateful if you could help his stress levels (and obviously help raise much needed funds for a very worthwhile cause) by digging deep into your pockets and sponsoring me.

A just giving website has been set up for you to make your donations - http://www.justgiving.com/matthewatucker
