Nottingham Scorpions will proudly host the 2018 England trials/selection weekend at their home ground of Moderns Rugby Club on the weekend of 9th and 10th June 2018.

2017 was a tremendous year for both the England Vixens and Dragonslayers as both teams were crowned winners at the Euro Cup in Bordeaux but England will look to come back even stronger in 2018 and showcase some of the emerging talent that has been attracted to the game in the last 12 months off the back of this resounding success.

Selection will be very tight with the 2017 Euro Cup taking place shortly after the International Cup, many England players ruled themselves out of selection due to the heavy commitment of travel to Australia. In 2018 most English players will play their football locally with the exception of course of the teams who qualified for the Champion’s League in Amsterdam. From AFLCNE Manchester Mosquitos men’s team and Nottingham Scorpions Women’s team and from AFL London the West London Wildcats mens team and the Wandsworth Demons women’s team.

England selectors will welcome attendance at trials/selection from any eligible English players who are able to make the necessary commitments and who fulfil the core values of the England community.
