The “Little Ruckers” went into the Counties in the group of death in confident mood hoping to put both Rockliffe and Alnwick down.
In true Ruckers style they started slowly and lost a gritty evenly balanced game against Rockliffe before going down to a heavy defeat against a stylish Alnwick side.
Finally Novos hit their stride against Morpeth who were never in contention.
Novos went into the Plate and were drawn against Blyth who fell 5 tries to 2 in what was a little bit of a lazy performance but one that gave a Plate final against Percy Park.
A great start in the final put Novos 1 try up with a huge forward dominance but with wholesale changes at half time things turned around with Percy Park becoming dominant and a string of penalties keeping Novos penned in their own 22.
In the final seconds despite awesome defence the Park players snatched the draw they deserved and The Plate was shared.
