Another honour for Novos
Alan Dickinson was given the prestigious Brindle Montgomery Award for his service to refereeing in Northumberland
At the annual Northumberland Referees Society Dinner on Thursday night Alan - a lifelong Novo - was presented with this award by the president of the RFU.
The award was established several years ago in the memory of the well known referee who was famous as a character from Northern both on and off the pitch. His rendition of Eskimo Nell at Novos Players Dinner will long be remembered.
