Novos travel to Ashington to take on a side who look to be out of the relegation dogfight with 12 points.
1st team will show very few changes to the side that fought so hard to defeat Gosforth on Saturday. The pack is unchanged with Mo Findlay, Gus Graham and Paul Walker continuing in the front Row, Alex Littlefair and Paul Henderson in the 2nd row and the back row of Cavanagh, Merrett and Borthwick continues.
Indeed the only change to the starting fifteen sees Sam Burnside in at full back and Shaun Stewart switch to the wing for the unavailable Jonny Ward. Andy Maxwell and Richie Mitchell continue in the half backs with Dan Bollado and Richie Lamb in the centres. Ben 'Honey' Adcock (Pictured) will also start following his try scoring heroics last week.
The bench is Fit again Gavin Evans, Mercurial fly half Simon Dickinson and Jon Woolfenden who returns from his pinky injury.
The 2nds will welcome Ashington 2nds to Sutherland Park and have the opportunity of a rare double over the visitors. Ashington will no doubt be buoyed by last weeks victory over 3rd placed Blyth whilst Novos were inactive last week.
The pack sees a return to action for Rory Clarke at prop alongside Matty Lamb and skipper James Forbes. Eddy Yuill and Mark Vaudrey form a powerful looking 2nd row and Jamie Wallace, Clive Carlin and James Blanchard complete the pack.
The backs are shorn of Simon Dickinson at ten, who is with the first team, so Mark Young steps in with James Shallcross 'inside him' at scrum half. Chris Donabie will maintain his place at centre if he is available but if not his place will go to evergreen Tommy Wilson Senior alongside a welcome return to action for Chris Fife. James Bass moves to full back and Chris Gray will be on the wing with Tommy Wilson Junior lining up on the opposite flank. The bench sees Dave Addison, exciting colt Ben Walker and Chris Henry lining up and hoping for some game time.
The Centurians get a chance to try and turn around last weeks last minute reverse against Seghill as they travel to face Ashington 3rds, always a tough task against A wiley Veterans side. Ian Pratt steps in as skipper in the 2nd row and will be alongside some wiley veterans of our own in the form of Will Moses, Nick Cotterill, Steve Gittins and Pete Douthwaite in the pack.
Thomas Armitage gets a chance at scrum half and Tommy Wilson Senior is at ten pending a late call up. The back line has a pacy look to it with speedsters Steve Allen, Mike Shackleton and Stu Lee and new signing Andy Henderson lining up.
Our colts have a friendly on Sunday against Durham City and our unbeaten ladies will face Carlisle in the afternoon as they look to secure their 3rd straight promotion and serve up a valentines day feast.
Its all going on at Novos!
