We learnt on Sunday morning of the sudden unexpected death of Phil Carter. Phil was a great rugby man and had been at various times coach to Nuns Colts, Barkers Butts 1st XV and Kereseley 1st XV. As well as being a former Eds player himself and father of current Eds stalwart Duncan, in recent years Phil helped out with coaching sessions for his grandson's junior age group teams at both Market Bosworth and Nuneaton. He was also latterly our second XV manger where he did a sterling job for the club. A true rugby man and always good company. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and our sincere condolences go to all of his family. R.I.P.
