The Eds back line was put through its paces last night by Tigers centre Jack Roberts.

Following on from the visit of Ellis Genge & Mike Williams two weeks ago and Fraser Balmain last week, Head Coach Locky McCaffery was joined at training this week by centre Jack Roberts, who ran the Eds threequarters through some attacking and defensive patterns.

About Jack Roberts:

DOB: 20th Nov 1991
Birthplace: Bangor, Wales
Height: 1.73 m (5' 8")
Weight: 91 kg (14 st 4 lb)
Position: Centre

A former age-group representative with Wales, centre Jack Roberts earned his move to Leicester Tigers with his form in Championship rugby with Rotherham.

A Championship semi-finalist in 2013/14, he moved to Welford Road the following season and made his Tigers debut in an LV= Cup win at London Irish. Four days later he was a replacement in the match against the Barbarians but injury in a victory at Newcastle cost him the chance to stake further claims in the run-in to the end of the season.

Born in North Wales, he played for the Scarlets at under-18 level and for Llandovery in the Welsh Premiership, gaining age-group honours before moving to England with Rotherham.

Quote from one of the Eds' players: "great experience, as the rest have been. Not many clubs get all these guys coming down..."
