Sheffield United yesterday confirmed the signing of former Oadby Town Youth player Che Adams.
Che Adams helped the Youth team win the County Cup final back in 2012 and gained First Team experience under Lee Harriman during the club's first season in the UCL before signing for Ilkeston.
Speaking of the addition of Adams, Blades boss Nigel Clough commented: "We have had an eye on Che for a while, we have been aware of the interest in him from elsewhere and we have managed to beat off competition from Clubs in leagues above us to secure his signature.
"The fact we have given young players a chance since we took over here has convinced Che that he will get a fair chance to impress.
"He has joined in with the first-team straight away and he hasn't looked out of place, but it is a big step up for him and it will take him time to adjust.
"He is certainly one to develop, it may even take until the start of next season for him to feel totally at home, but we are looking forward to working with him in the meantime."
Many fans will wish Che all the best as he starts his life as a full-time professional.
