With the season drawing to its conclustion in a few weeks time, each game is like a cup final for Oadby. If The Poachers can keep on winning then promoting is there, without having to worry about other results.
Earlier in the season, Bugbrooke were considered part of the promotion race, but having only managed two wins in their last six matches have slipped down the table and out of contention. However, they did manage an impressive 6-2 victory at the weekend against Rothwell and were very formidable opponents when Oadby played them at theirs last month.
Bugbrooke St Michaels Football Club was formed in 1929, the name referring to the village Church. The club entered the United Counties League Division One in 1987, and won the league in 1999, gaining promotion to the Premier Division, where they stayed until 2002. This season the club made history by reaching the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the first time.
This is Oadby's penultimate home fixture for the season, so would be nice to see a decent crowd at Freeway Park to cheer the players on.
