Club appeal to raise £1500 for defibrillator.

As you may be aware there has been a recent spate of serious incidents at Football Grounds around the country where both players and spectators have had sudden serious sudden health problems which have very sadly resulted in the loss of life. The latest being 26 year old Daniel Wilkinson of Shaw Lane AFC who sadly collapsed on the field of play and unfortunately passed away on 12th September.

These sad incidents have made us look at the facilities that we at Bootle FC provide on a match day for both Players and Spectators alike.
As well as match day we have a well used astro turf training facility that is visited by some 400 players of all ages per week so we need to ensure the safety of all people at all times.

It has become obviously apparent that we need to have a DEFIBRILLATOR on hand to assist in any unforeseen medical situation, and to help provide the best possible care we can until full medical assistance can be provided by the authorities. We feel that this must be addressed immediately. As a duty of care to all players and supporters and visitors to the club.

Like most amateur football club’s, finances are always an issue so we are looking to instigate a crowd funding page so we can put this VITAL piece of equipment in place as soon as possible.

We are asking all supporters of Bootle FC and football supporters in general to make a donation ASAP so that we can get the much needed DEFIBRILLATOR on site as soon as possible. We are looking to get the best piece of equipment we possibly can and we estimate that to have everything in place will cost between £1200 – 1500 so a lot of support is needed to hit our target.

Remember, this piece of equipment can be the difference between life and death so please consider donating generously.
