Coaching duo depart.

Bootle Football Club can this evening confirm that first team assistant manager Richie Boswarva has resigned from his position at the club.

Richie has been an integral part of the club's coaching team for the last six years, having originally joined the club as youth team manager back in 2011. Here, he guided his side to the double at Under-16 level, before going one better and winning the treble at Under-18 level.

Richie then stepped up to the post of reserve team manager, before becoming first team assistant manager when current boss Joe Doran was handed the managerial reigns in December 2013.

As well as helping the club grow both on and off the pitch, Richie has also played a key role in the development of a number players who have made the step up from youth team football to first team football at the club.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Richie for all his commitment and effort and wishes him all the best in whatever he chooses to do next.

Also, departing the club is first team coach James Walsh, who has decided to take on a role at Litherland Remyca for the forthcoming season. The club would like to thank James for all his efforts and wishes him well for the future.
