Bootle goalkeeper Jack Mano has been crowned Goalkeeper of the month for January, in the North West Counties.

Mano joined the Bucks back in November from local football, and hasn't looked out of place since, producing a string of fine saves in the eight games he played for the club.

Speaking about Mano Bootle manager Joe Doran said: "Within minutes of meeting Jack, you can feel his enthusiasm and desire to be the best he can be. His no nonsense approach is affective and inspires defenders around him".

Mano started the month with a string of fine saves against Bacup and Rosendale Borough, helping his side claim a 5-0 victory.

However, it was the goalkeepers performance against Tranmere Rovers in the Liverpool Senior Cup, which showed just how good he is.

The local goalkeeper produced three fantastic saves to keep his side in the game, before Tom Peterson's strike fired the Bucks into the Semi Final with two minutes remaining.

Mano is just as important off the field as he is on it. The goalkeepers personality has certainly helped his side in turning things around.

Which included an impressive run of no defeats in eight games, and conceding just three goals in the month of January.
