Des Pastore Funeral Details
Des' funeral will take place next Thursday 26 January at Manchester Crematorium, Southern Cemetery at 12 noon
After the funeral, refreshments will be available at the clubhouse at Old Bedians RUFC for those wishing to pay their respects to our founder who sadly passed away last week.

Deepest respect for Des Pastore - one of my father's greatest friends - and a true gent. With lots of love from Helen Petitjean, wife of Ray (who I believe was also a founder member of the Old Bede's) and son Chris. Des never let me forget that when I was about 7, at one of the many OB's parties at my parents' home, I used to go around with a jug of beer topping up the pints of the chaps such as Doc Chamberlain, Ron Moore, John Doody and Mike Lydon. I asked Des if he wanted a refill, but he gave me his empty pint of beer & said he now fancied a whisky instead. When I returned with his pint pot filled to the brim with whisky, he simply said "Cheers!" and proceeded to drink it with a big smile!! Rest in true peace Des
