1st Xv move to ninth with two games to go

Old Bristolians go into Easter on the back of their fourth win in a row having secured a 27-8 bonus point win away to Cheltenham to move up to 9th in the table and league safety. We went up to visit a team that is very tough to beat at home and put up a defensive wall that (aside from a 5m catch and drive) Cheltenham were never going to break through. That set the platform for us to play some really nice rugby through the backs and run in four tries for a vital bonus point win. Best On Ground was Peaches for his relentless tackling. Two home games left to finish the season on a real high.

Mega stat alert – in the 12/13 season we ended up with 57 points and 10 wins. In 13/14 it was 53 points and 9 wins, and so far in 14/15 it is 49 points and 10 wins. One more win this season and it’s our most successful season in Western Counties by games won, and two more wins in the remaining two games and we can achieve more points than ever before as well, which would be absolutely superb!!
