Everyone interested in helping with the club's music festival is invited to attend a meeting in the clubhouse starting at 7.30pm on Wednesday (13th June).

Club members have already contributed a considerable amount, putting a shift in over the past weekend and creating the essential foundations for the rest of the preparations. We now have activity on Thursday, a very busy Friday, the day itself and the big take down on Sunday.

Week long activities

Our music festival has quickly become Yorkshire’s biggest annual charity concert and built a solid reputation for a great family day out. A sheer testament to its appeal was how tickets, for Saturday 16th June, sold out three months ago in just eleven days.

To celebrate the fifth year of the festival and surpassing the £50,000 already donated to the Overgate, we’ve linked up with other nearby venues to create a week-long showcase of musical performances which began with Saturday’s Launch Party.

These “takeover” events all feature outstanding local talent; such as the Calderdale Big Band, the Afterglow Party Band and a unique evening of community choirs. There’s even an event for those to try their hand at performing for the first time with Tuesday's Open Mic Night.

Friday 15th June: Big Band Night at Coley Church (tickets are just £5 -usually £12)

Friday 15th June: Richard Anderson Live (free entry)
• At The White Horse, Lightcliffe

Saturday 16th June: Brodstock Family Music Festival
• Old Brodleians, Woodhead Park, Hipperholme.
