Coaching Season 2012/2013

As many of you maybe aware Ian and Clive had agreed to continue with coaching the Senior squad for a further season in the knowledge that if the club was able to recruit suitable replacements they would stand aside to allow a new coach or coaching team to take over.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Ian and Clive for their tremendous work and outstanding successes over many seasons. Both Ian and Clive coached very successful Junior sides with numerous Yorkshire Cup wins to their credit and have introduced many players to the senior game. Ian has led the 1st team to two successive championships and promotions from Yorkshire 2 to Yorkshire 1 and North One East and ultimately its highest league position in the clubs history . It has truly been a golden period for the Old Brodleians .

The club had advertised the position through the coaching network in Yorkshire and we are pleased to confirm the appointment of John Cole as club coach with Phil Gallagher as his assistant.

John has been coaching junior sides at the club for many years and assisted Ian three years ago when the club entered North One East . Having taken the under 19s to the National Plate Final as well as the Yorkshire Premier League title last season John has made himself available and the club are pleased to announce his appointment as club coach with immediate effect.

Looking forward there is no doubt that we will be facing many challenges next season We are well aware that Yorkshire One is a tough league and we will need to prepare well in pre season. We will be looking for some early season momentum for both first and second teams and will be holding pre season players meeting on Tuesday 3rd July at 7.70 pm followed by Pre Season Training on the 10th July .
