Hes back y'all!

Name: Benny Dean Pritchett

Nicknames: Benny Son

Age: 27

Position: Prop

Best Rugby Moment: The lifelong mate's I've made during my career

Worst Rugby Moment: I've never defeated Heath

Favourite Drink: Sambucca or Landlord

Last meal: KFC / fish butty

Least Like To Room With On Tour: Shaven the shmelly stinky man

Most Embarrassing Moment: I still don't know the rules of rugby, so we got a penalty and were going to kick for touch but I forgot you had to kick it into touch to start the lineout. So I just stood in the way of our kicker getting ready for the lift. And he just looked at me, was like mate I've to kick it first...

Pet hate: my last name being pronounced Pritchard. IT'S PRITCHETT!

Favourite quote: Hero's get remembered, Legends never die. Follow your heart. Big Time players make Big Time plays

Favourite film: Hotrod

Most like to be stuck in a lift with: Jenno, BFR (Big Fat Reece Ward), and Daws. (Not Polly? No, ok)

Karaoke Song: You To Me Are Everything – The Real Thing

Worst Dressed Brod: Hoyley, only because he's like 70 and out of style.

Benny was introduced to the Brods whilst playing rugby on the gold coast in Australia where he had the honour (in the loosest sense of the word) of playing alongside two current players in Rob Jennings and Alex Dawson, and two Brods now based out there in Andy Finn and Jack Moon, it is rumoured that he forged his bond with Alex over a shared love of subway sandwiches.

As he readily acknowledges the intricacies of Rugby Union are still evading him, which explains his response to winning a turnover penalty last season – arms aloft shouting “I did it! I’ve never done that before!!”

When the Kansas City native followed the yellow brick road to Woodhead he never expected to find love, but love is what he has found (and not just his love of fish butties, landlord and the Brods), let’s hope he can live up to the Horton name on the field! Benny is back, cowboy hat and all, and we can’t wait to see him back on the field.
