Another enjoyable friendly yesterday on what turned out to be a gtreat day for open rugby. Effingham are not a bad side and will be competitive in Div 2 so an outcome of of 3 tries each is pleasing. In parts the boys played some very good rugby with the likes of Archie, Owen and Will B all competing well up front. Both Joel and Dan went well at 9 but we were probably not as sharp as we might be in attack. Effingham kept the ball tight testing our narrow defence and the boys repelled the oppo more than once on the goal line. We need to be careful we keep our discipline if things go against as we were in danger of losing the ref on occasions though I thought Owen did a great job directing the boys particularly in the later stages.

Finally, we need to start the ball rolling on our little trip to Northampton on 25th/26th Feb. Please let us know if you are coming, it has all the makings of a great weekend.
