Cents march on.
Cents maintain their promotion push with big win over Hucclecote
Cents seconds continued their winning ways at the top of the Glos Two North league with a good win over a game Hucclecote side.
Cents and Hucclecote were evenly matched up till half time, but several changes and switching of positions saw the home side pull away with a much improved second half performance.
At half time Cents led 15-5 through a try scored by Keiran Blackmore plus a penalty try which was also converted by Kieran.Nathan Young also scored from a penalty at the stroke of half time to complete the home sides scoring.
In the second half a youthful and slimmer Matt Darby entered the fray and he had a dramatic impact on Old Cents second half performance.His rampaging trade mark bursts through the centre of the Hucclcote midfield had the away side in all sorts of trouble.Cents increased their tempo and this resulted in a further three tries being scored by the home side.Cents scored their second half tries through Keiran Blackmore(second),Gavin Butler and Mark Fritchley plus George Preece converted one of the tries to complete the scoring.
Cents next league match is in a fortnights time and will be a top of the table clash with Cirencester,the only side to have beaten them in the league this season.Cents know they will have to up their game inorder to maintain their position at the top of the table.
