The high-flying Extras host London Scottish at College Meadow this Saturday (kick-off 2pm) looking to extend their lead at the top of Zoo One.

The club’s second string are enjoying a season to remember so far with eight wins from their opening 10 league games to lead the division on points difference from Ampthill.

Their impressive 38-5 triumph over Coventry in their last outing two weeks ago was their third successive win and they now take on an Exiles side lying fifth, having themselves only lost twice so far this season.

A host of standout Extras performers such as locks Tom Scorgie and Freddie Hosking, props Aston Bevans-Royston and Ducky Fordham (pictured), scrum-half Tom Parker, wings Bryan Hotston and Renford Bennett, and skipper Ryan Munnelly have all made an impact when called up to the 1st XV in the opening two months of the National One campaign.

The Extra’s impressive form has been the highlight of the club’s season so far, according to the club's head coach Sam Howard. “Zoo one is the highest placed league for 2nd teams outside of the Premiership, so for the Extras to go top has been a superb achievement,” he said. “What is even more pleasing is the way that so many players have come up from the Extras and fitted in seamlessly for the 1st XV and played so consistently well. It shows just what a great strength in depth we have at this club and if people take their chance they will keep the shirt.”

OEs squad to face London Scottish: Aaron Liffchak, Elliott Quinton, Ian Kench, Josh Devine, Joss Morgan, Luke Murphy-Wooldridge, Piers Johnson, Ryan Munnelly, Stefan North, Tom Scorgie, Tom Petty, Alex Brown, Ali Neden, Cam Roberts, Charlie Nagel, George Emmerson, Jordan Thomas, Sam Egerton, Sean Triana, Will Luxford.
