Nick Tompkins scores as England U20s reach World Cup final

England U20 look to retain the trophy vs the "Baby Blacks"

Nick played Outside Centre in Englands 28-20 win over South Africa on Monday night in Calvisano in Italy, scoring a try, as England moved through to the final of the U20 Rugby World Cup and kept hopes alive of retaining the title they won last year - where Nick scored the winning try

On Monday night Nick latched onto a pass, following a break from Saracens team mate George Perkins, and surged past three South African defenders en route to the line.

England play the New Zealand “Baby Blacks” this Saturday in the Stadio Giovanni Zini, Cremona in Italy

The match is being shown live on BT Sport 2 from 7.30

Nick grew up in Chislehurst and was educated at St Nicholas Primary School and Bishop Justus and was with Old Elthamians from the age of four in 1999 until 2012 & now plays for Saracens.

Another to pass through Alan Farmer’s Under 7’s academy his age group coaches were Russell Taylor (now coaching U8's) Chris Cunliffe (resting!) and Tony Smith (Coaching next seasons U18’s)
