OE U15s Victorious in Friendly vs Tunbridge Wells
A squad performance demonstrating true depth...
Firstly our thanks to our opponents, a class bunch of guys that are currently rebuilding, and showing some excellent flair and promise for the future. Unluckily they suffered some early injuries involving key players, but they never gave up and fought admirably throughout the whole match.
OE utilised all available players in this friendly fixture, and whilst handing was a little rusty at times, we looked threatening from the start. In the first half our efforts were rewarded with team tries converted by Chris, Mitchel (2), George, and a fantastic pitch-length effort by Piers who not only showed great pace, but also threw the dummy from heaven and a hand-off from hell. Class.
Half Time - 29 ; 0
The second half saw a hat-trick for the speedy Abdul, assisted by Max who put him away in style for two of them, and another for Krish where Max also played a major part.
Tunbridge Wells broke our line following a series of penalties against us for offside and "lip", and OEs were seriously disappointed to have conceded although there is little doubt that Tunbridge Wells deserved reward for their efforts throughout the game.
