Starts tonight!

Pre Season training starts tonight at 7:00pm

Tuesdays- Will be run alongside our new partnership with O2 and the RFU. We have recently been selected to run the O2 touch centre on the Wirral. Tuesday training will therefore be focused around this. The sessions will be based on touch and varients of this in order to develop ball skills. Also an excellent source of cardio without being beasted.

Thursdays- Skills & Match related training. This will involve everything from set plays to attacking and defensive drills. The aim is to have everything we do related to what happens on a Saturday where possible. We are also looking at running position specific drills. We are in the process of arranging a front row session with the RFU for later in the summer. Obviously this is number dependant.

Saturdays- Josh McCann has kindly agreed to run fitness sessions on Saturday afternoons from 2:00pm for anyone looking to put some extra work in in the lead up to the new season.

Apart from Saturdays the sessions will be based on RUGBY not fitness. Your fitness is a personal thing and doing 2 sessions a week will not get you match fit (I speak from experience). It's up to you to put the work in and not be the one that lets the side down with 10 minutes to go on a Saturday.

Our first pre season game is 5 weeks away, so come down and put the work in. We have the chance to have a great season throughout the club if everyone pulls together and puts the effort in.

Pre Season Fixtures
Winnington Park (H)- Saturday 2nd August
Dukinfield (A)- Saturday 23rd August
Cheshire Plate (TBC)- Saturday 30th August

The first two fixtures are club games and anyone that wants a run out is welcome.
