….Very BIG Thank You, as they gave up their Sunday and spent the day at the Fortress working hard to prep the Club for the season ahead, which is approaching fast!!!

Chris Lilley, Mark Lilley, Craig Lilley, Erwin & Claire Davis, Tony Chapman, Ollie Hyne, Steve Godwin, Harry Godwin and Nelly Gould who kindly organized the skip.

We managed to get all the work done that we needed to do and after a free BBQ, with many thanks to Julian & Sandra, the day was rounded off with a game of cricket and a few free beers.

The highlights of this were Lils Snr occupying the crease impersonating Geoffrey Boycott and getting bitten by horse flies, whilst Craig was hindered in the field due to a toilet roll in his hand!!! And BQ heckled from the touchline about sacrificing wickets for the run rate. Perhaps the highlight of the day was Ollie Hyne firing down a fast one, only for me to nick an inside edge on what was destined to be a 6 - the ball nicely rose and re-arranged my unprotected nuts!!

Seriously, many, many thanks to you all for supporting your Club, putting yourselves out and making the day a splendid success.
