Old G's are delighted to announce that Pat Foreman will be returning to the club for the 2017-18 season.

I only played 1 season with Pat back in 2003, but you could see he was a special player on the pitch and a top man off it.
- Mike Hodge, Chairman

In 2003, an 18 year old Pat Foreman had broken into the 1st XV at Old Gravesendians. At the end of that season he left to go to University and began a rugby adventure that would take him around the world, playing at the highest level in Wales (UWIC) where he captained his team at the BUCS Final at Twickenham. He then went Hong Kong where he played for Hong Kong FC and Kowloon RFC, playing at semi pro level and winning the national title. Recognition followed when he was selected to represent Hong Kong at both XV's and 7s, both of which were scuppered by injury.

Despite being the other side of the world, Pat has stayed in contact with a lot of the players and came to watch our victory over Cranbrook in the Kent Vase QF last season.

Pat is returning to the UK this Summer and, despite interest from a number of other clubs, Pat has decided to come home to Old Gravesendians.

Pat will join up with the squad in August and will also take up a role in the coaching team with Andy Miller and Daran Poppy, as well as being a pivotal member of the playing squad.

Chairman Mike Hodge said "I am absolutely delighted that Pat is coming back to us. What he has achieved over his career is amazing and the younger players in the squad will learn so much from being around him. I only played 1 season with Pat back in 2003, but you could see he was a special player on the pitch and a top man off it. We are all very excited to have a player and person of his quality".
