Old Gs travel to Askeans on Saturday - aiming to go 18 from 18 in Kent 2 this season. As ever though they know they will need to be on top form to overcome a resolute Askeans side. Old Gs take good form into the fixture following a fine victory against Lordwood last week. They travel to Well Hall aiming to remain unbeaten as they look to continue the march towards an immediate return to Kent 1.
Head Coach Andy Miller shuffles his cards - with mutliple changes to the squad from last week - as numerous players drop out of the side and many returning from injury and unavailability in both the pack and the backline.
Paul Mitchell returns to start in the front row, with Noel Hartley moving to hooker alongside loosehead Brett Buckingham. It's date night once again in the engine room where Frazer Barnes and Andy Morris will continue to whisper sweet nothings to each other in the 2nd row. There are full scale changes in the back row.... Chris Daniels moving into the 8 shirt, with Ollie Goodchild back from injury at 7 and Steve Millar coming in on the blindside.
There is also a change at 9, with veteran Mike Hodge coming into the side. Matt Holdstock continues at fly half, with the tried and trusted centre combination of Ricky Harding and Matt Thomspon outside him in midfield. Matt Wilson and Ryan Lockyer again feature on the wings, with leading try scorer James Hood coming back into the side at full back.
There are 2 welcome returns from injury on the bench in the form of Steve Hurdle and long term absentee Greg Humphreys. They are joined in the replacements by Chris Bassett.
Kick off is at 3pm and all support is welcome.
