Old Gs will look to continue their winning run as they host Southwark Lancers on Saturday. Having triumphed in the away fixture in London earlier in the season Old Gs will be hopeful of securing a victory that will further strengthen their mid table position in Kent 1. They know that they will have be in good form though to see off a Southwark side containing a number of strong ball carriers and dangerous runners - with the Old Gs defence needing to be on point to negate this threat.

There are a few changes that have been enforced upon Old Gs from the squad that has secured two emphatic victories in recet weeks - Lewis Moss is unavailable and Matt Thompson misses out through injury. This provides opportunities for the peter pan of Old Gs Paul Mitchell and the rhino Mat Wilson, who both step into starting spots.

Mitchell is joined in the front row by hooker Noel Hartley and prop Brett Buckingham. Frazer Barnes and Joe Martins flirtation in the second row has become more of an engagement, as they again feature in the engine room. Andy Morris, going through his divorce settlement with long term second row husband Barnes, features at 8. He is flanked in the back row by Phil 'the beard that's feared' Costley and Kevin 'would like to have a beard that's feared' Spain.

Doug Wilson and Matt Holdstock adorn the 9 and 10 jerseys, with the tag team of Pat Foreman and Ben Wadsworth in midfield. Mat Wilson comes onto the left wing to replace Thompson, where he is joined in the back 3 by James Hood and Chris Johnson at full back.

The strong looking replacements bench will no doubt have a big impact on the game, with barrel Jack Nash, versatile Greg Humphreys and winger Ryan Lockyer all looking to make their mark when thrown into the fray.
