Old Gs take to the field one final time in the 2017/2018 season as they welcome Cranbrook to North Kent. In the reverse fixture, the opening game of the season, Old Gs secured a surprise victory and will look to repeat the dose against a strong Cranbrook side who are known for their open expansive style of play. However, Old Gs will need to turn around a run of relatively poor performances if they want to finish the season in style.
The day also sees blue and blue day coem to town, with lots of fun and entertainment for all spectators from 2pm onwards, with the game itself kicking off at 3pm!
As is obligatory in the Old Gs season there are multiple changes due to injury and unavailability. Brett Buckingham and Paul Mitchell are the starting props, with Lewis Moss unavailable. Noel Hartley returns from injury to take his place at hooker. Joe Martin and Frazer Barnes are in the second row. Andy Kidd moves into the back row after appearing at hooker last week. He joins Phil Costley and number 8 Jack Nash.
Doug Wilson and Matt Holdstock continue at 9 and 10, with Matt Thompson back in the side to partner Ben Wadsworth in midfield. Richard Parish starts on the wing, with Ryan Lockyer looking to add further tries to his tally on the other wing. Chris Johnson completes the line up at full back.
The replacements are Andy Morris - who continues to play through the pain, Steve Thompson and the returning James Hood.
Kick off is at 3pm and all support is welcome.
