Subscription Proposal For 2012

Oldham St Annes ARLFC are a LISTENING club, and your views are important to us

As you can appreciate during this tough economic time, people are having to work longer to hold down jobs, and pressures at work are on the increase. As coaches and volunteers, we are trying to find ways to help reduce time spent on matters of a trivial nature, and put that time saved into new projects at the club that can still help St Annes ARLFC maintain being the premier amateur rugby league club in the area. We also take into account that everyone is looking at new ways to save money, and at we feel we may have found a solution that everyone can be happy with.

Over the years, the club has found it very difficult to collate all the money that is collected in training and subscriptions, and that the responsibilty of paying it all in into the bank relies on one person. As all the coaches, and volunteers at the club work full time, we are trying to streamline operations that make the collection of money a) alot easier, and less time consuming, b) the club then can claim back the tax so that they can put more money back into the Youth Section, in areas that are desperate for a cash injection.

What we are proposing at this moment in time, and feedback is much appreciated during this consulation period is that every player will be charged £10 per month over 12 months, which would be a direct debit via this website. This would include subscriptions and training money. During the season this would save the parent/guardian £8 per month!!!! We would be looking to implement this in January 2012. At £10 per month, we feel this is value for money, and certainly cheaper than other sporting clubs in the area.

To make this work, everybody would have to make themselves a member of wwww.oldhamstannes.co.uk to set up payments, and the system is a secure site so that you are protected on your payments. This would go live if we felt this was the way to go after the consultation period had ended - October 1st 2011.By also being a member, it makes communicating with parents/guardians/supporters alot easier as we plan to make this website the first for all news and information.

Please feel free to discuss this with your coach, who will feedback to the committee your views and ideas. Oldham St Annes ARLFC are a listening club, and takes the views of everyone to be important. Or, if you go into the forum section of this website, please comment in the thread entitled Subscriptions.

Please cast your vote at the bottom of this website.

Fantastic idea, i pay £20 a month for football training so i feel this is very reasonable. It is the price of 3 pints of beer and just think of the fun and confidence your children are gaining.

Thank you to all the coaches who give their time and effort for free . Keep up the good work.

At Crosfields we have been introducing sub payment by direct debit over the past couple of years. It's fully operational in our junior section and is slowly filtering into our open age. It makes admin of the teams expenses a lot less troublesome and far less time consuming. £10 per month I would suggest is too cheap £15 being reasonable especially if you don't ask for a signing on fee.

Cheers Dave, always welcoming how other clubs approach these type of matters. It never is easy, anf we have to go what the majority wants and at the moment it is the DD way. It will make things so much easier for everyone concerned.

As a new parent to the club I think this is a fantastic idea. The confidence and friends made in a short time to my boy is priceless , so £20 is worth is weight in gold

Seems long over due, all other sports seem to already be collecting money via direct debit or standing order and it means I do not have to have money on me during training sessions.
