Summer Rugby Is Finally Here

Last night at the NWC meeting, it was voted in that the Under 8s to 12s will move to summer rugby in 2012. The season will run from March to November with a scheduled break in July/August.

The 7s/8s/9s/10s/11s & 12s will play a shortened season this year from September to November, with a preason break, and then the season starts in March.

The current Under 12s will play a transitional season form September to November, with their league programme of 13s starting in March.

This will now fall in line with the 13s to 15s and the 16s to 18s with the open age being the first to migrate to the summer months.

Common sense has finally prevailed, and now with this decision the club can make its plans for the next 12 months.

So folks, dig out your suncream and throw away those thermals. Summer rugby is here.
