U8's end the season with strong spirit!
At the end of a long season, the U8's submitted two teams into the R4H festival which even gave them the opportunity to challenge each other.
The Rugby 4 Heroes festival took place at The Crofts during unseasonal cold, but dry, weather.
OLs had entered two teams. Old Coventrians and Broad Street entered a team each, to complete the line up.
OL "A" v Broad Street, D5-5
OL "A" v Old Coventrians, L3-4
OL "A" v Old Leamingtonians "B", W11-10
OL "B" v Broad Street, L7-8
OL "B" v Old Coventrians, W8-7
OL "B" v Old Leamingtonians "A", L10-11
It was great to watch the U8s play. There was some fabulous passing and catching. There was some great running and tagging. There was even some good communication and organisation.
One thing is clear - the squad are itching for some contact rugby. There was lots of fending off, some pulling and barging. I very much get the feeling that next year will see some exciting fixtures...bring it on!
