The euphoria from last week's win over Leamington was deflated somewhat following Tuesday's injury to Cory Bailey. His broken ankle will see him on the sidelines for a good part of the season, and all players, coaches and supporters wish him a speedy recovery.
Saturday sees the visit of a strong Banbury side to OLs; the hosts will be resplendent in new kit sponsored by Denso!
Ciaran Lavery returns from injury at loose-head and is joined by Matthew Sawyer at prop. Tom Griffin fills Cory's boots at hooker. Zac Leng and Jordi Pocknell form a strong lock partnership and captain Sennen Scobie is alongside Connor Jones and George Smith in a speedy back row.
Kai Bailey is partnered by Nick Sapsford at half back as Alex Witchell makes way as a precaution with a slight leg injury. Giandeep Bhamra is joined by Callum Semple in the centre, with AN Other, Matthew Woodhouse and Jamie Reynolds in the back three spots.
Joining Witchell on the bench are tight forwards AJ Beesley, Cameron Jessamine, Josh Partridge and James Scott. Tadhg Sheehan provides cover across the back row, and at centre, whilst speedster Max Ward makes a timely seasonal debut.
