OLs Colts v Leamington RFC Colts
OLs triumph against Leamington in derby clash
OLS got of to a flyer with try in the first five minutes from Nathan Chant - an early penalty saw a quick tap from Kai Bailey whilst the Leamington forwards were napping and Nathan Chant touched down in the corner , the conversion was missed - 0-5 . The game then settled into an even game with both sides enjoying possession but both guilty of then giving it away cheaply . Leamington score a tidy drop goal to make the score 3-5 . OLs suffer an injury to Nathan Chant and George Parker replaces him . OLs continue to give away penalties but Leamington miss two pots at goal and the game becomes very stop/start as the half ends .
More of the same in the second half , best described as 'scrappy' . OLs have plenty of possession but try take on one too many before offloading or passing the ball and several opportunities are squandered - this allows Leamington to stay in the game and their big forward pack give as good as they get . Errors from both sides continue and its not until a charge down and gather from Oliver Sengupta ,who then sprints half the length of the pitch , that the game is settled . The score remains at 3-10 for the rest of the game , not OLs finest day but a win is a win and old foes put to the sword .
onwards and upwards , still unbeaten .....
