Predictions,Team Low Downs and Players to Watch Out For

So,this is where I make myself look a fool and try and predict the winners and losers of the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Starting with Group 1

Group 1

Australia - Number 1 one-day side in the world and playing at home.Strong favourites. Home pressure may tell but don't bank on it.
Strengths - Lethal opening batting partnership and a strong array of very fast bowlers.
Weaknesses - Iffy spinner and the expectation of playing at home might just tell. Question marks over Michael Clarke won't help.
Key Players - David Warner & Mitchell Johnson
Predictions - Top the group and winners of the tournament

England - New captain and a youthful enthusiasm,but lack class.May surprise,but I doubt it.
Strengths- Ian Bell in fine form and improving fielding.Anderson is a superb bowler in the opening overs.
Weaknesses - Just as likely to score 160 as 320. Death bowling is not good enough.
Key Players- Ian Bell & Jimmy Anderson
Predictions- Finish 3rd in the group and lose to India in the quarter-finals

New Zealand- On a fine run of form and superb at home under the clever leadership of Brendan McCullum
Strengths - Power hitters and a bowling attack that defends totals regularly
Weaknesses-No longer have underdog tag so may feel pressure.Batting line-up might have the odd bad day
Key Players- Kane Williamson and Trent Boult
Predictions- 2nd in group and lose the semi-final

Sri Lanka - Not as good away from the sub continent.Bowlers not suited to Antipodean conditions.
Strengths- Two world class batsman and a very underrated captain in Angelo Matthews
Weaknesses- Poor fielding side and will have to score 350 to beat the better sides.
Key Players- Kumar Sangakarra & Angelo Matthews
Predictions- 4th in group and knocked out of the quarters by South Africa

Bangladesh- Don't seem to have improved over the years. Will look to avoid a shock defeat.
Strengths - Occasionally get off to a flying start with the bat.
Weaknesses - Likely to go from 100 for 2 to 122 all out
Key Players - Anamul Haque & Al Hasan
Predictions- 5th place and will get some real stuffings

Scotland- Collingwood will add his coaching experience to the minnows. Learning curve for the Saltires
Strengths- The unknown. May shock a complacent side.
Weaknesses- Simply not good enough against top opposition
Key Players- Kyle Coetzer & Majid Haq. Fine Scottish names
Predictions- Will finish last. Will have one gallant performance but then lose by 5 runs

Afghanistan-Up and coming team made up of home grown/Pakistani players.
Strengths- Never say die attitude. Can score runs
Weaknesses- Lack of depth will see them battling to win one game.
Predictions- Will beat Scotland and finish 6th.
